Mechinagar, Jhapa, January 18, 2026 (Sunday)
A comprehensive Free Eye Camp and Reading Glass Distribution program was successfully concluded on Saturday at Shree Krishna Primary School, Mechinagar-14, Jhapa. The event was jointly organized by Shree Krishna Primary School and the Shree Krishna Primary School Alumni Association.

Mechi Netralaya & Ophthalmic Research Center (P) Ltd., Kakarvitta, provided the technical expertise for the camp. The initiative was further supported by Helping Hands Health and Education USA and the Durga Chandra Memorial Trust, Jhapa.
Key Statistics from the Camp:

Total Examinations: 350 individuals underwent comprehensive eye check-ups.

Glass Distribution: 175 individuals received free reading glasses to aid their vision.

Surgical Referrals: 18 patients were identified with cataracts and are scheduled for life-changing surgery.







This humanitarian mission aimed to provide essential eye care services to the local community in Mechinagar, ensuring that vision-related issues are addressed at the grassroots level.
