The Cataract Surgery Process
Pre-Operative Assessment
Before the surgery, a thorough eye examination is conducted to assess the severity of the cataract and determine the best surgical approach. This includes measuring the eye’s dimensions to choose the appropriate intraocular lens (IOL).
The Surgery
Cataract surgery at Mechi Netralaya is typically performed using phacoemulsification, a modern and minimally invasive technique. During the procedure, the cloudy lens is emulsified using ultrasonic waves and removed through a small incision. An artificial intraocular lens (IOL) is then implanted to restore clear vision.
Post-Operative Care
After the surgery, patients are monitored closely to ensure a smooth recovery. Follow-up appointments are scheduled to check the healing process and address any concerns. Our team provides detailed instructions on post-operative care to promote quick and effective healing.
