Dr. Sharad C. Rai has a distinguished background in ophthalmology. He began his academic journey at St Joseph’s School in Darjeeling, West Bengal, completing his ICSE in 1985. He continued his education at St Xavier’s College in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he completed his HSE in 1987. Dr. Rai earned his undergraduate degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Belgaum, Karnataka, and pursued postgraduate studies in Ophthalmology at Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, Karnataka, completing his degrees in 1992 and 1997, respectively.

He completed his class ten and twelve studies from Mahendra Adharsh Bidhya Ashram and Little Angles Higher Secondary School in Lalitpur, Kathmandu. He earned his undergraduate degree from B P Koirala Institute of Health & Science in Dharan, Nepal, and his postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology from B P Koirala Lions Center for Ophthalmic Studies in 2010 and 2015, respectively.
